After two days of heavy rain, our backyard is now a pond.
In one afternoon we've had countless paperboat and flip flop races, spider rescues and dragonfly chases. We stayed out there until we started to get this really crazy itch.
Next time it floods I think I'll surprise them with a rowboat.
And just one more photo because Maku wanted to show everyone he was wearing his heartburn shirt.

I was going to say, love the shirt! You do very neat things with your kids, I looked at all your crafts and I'd love to use some of your ideas! Rain can be a good thing!

Thanks, Mary ^.^
We've had a very long dry season, we need all the rain we can get.
Oh what fun! And I love Maku's T-Shirt! Does it glow in the dark?
hi blur - the shirt does glow in the dark - you're good!
I saw a music video of this Japanese band and they were wearing something like this. All the lights were shut and they were prancing around. You can imagine, there were few skeletons dancing in the dark, it was so cool! I was mesmerised!
Looks like the rain enabled you to have lots of fun!
I love the paper boats and Maku's top!
So, you guys are getting rained on, too, huh?
LOVE the shirt. I need one for my husband--he suffers frequent heartburn. The boats are nifty, too.
